Spanning sixty hectares of preserved Atlantic Forest, this site has been designated by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve Outpost under the Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme. The place include an auditorium and laboratories for the study of bioluminescent fungi and insects. It also features a six-hundred-square-meter greenhouse for plants and amphibians, an aquarium, and several forest trails.
