A relic of the coffee boom, this estate preserves a sprawling rural complex where history is etched into the very fabric of the land. The colonial architecture and meticulously restored elements offer a tactile link to the past—from traditional rammed-earth walls (taipa) and antique tiles to the weathered brickwork of the former coffee-drying terrace and the original worker cottages still standing on-site. The estate was once owned by John Klink, a North American Confederate immigrant who settled in Brazil in the wake of the American Civil War, linking the property to overlapping histories of migration and abolition.
