Founded in 1936, the former Municipal Library features high ceilings and an eclectic façade with an entrance framed by white classical columns. Above it, a marquee decorated with blue-and-yellow Portuguese tiles extends across the front of the building. Exposed stone at the base and along the side columns contrasts with the white walls, while ornate moldings frame the front windows. Inside, long hallways lead to spacious rooms illuminated by natural light from iron-framed windows.
