As an environmental preservation area situated in the transition zone between the Atlantic Forest and Cerrado biomes, the park is distinguished by its rich biodiversity, boasting plant and animal species typical of both biomes. Its centerpiece, as it were, is the Cachoeira da Marta, a waterfall of approximately thirty-eight meters in height, readily accessible via a wooden staircase that extends along the trail. The park also offers a variety of other leisure and nature-based activities, including ecological trails, picnic areas, and birdwatching.
