Inaugurated in 2001, the park is designed in the style of 16th-century architecture, recreating the atmosphere and customs of 1532. The buildings replicate early colonial forms and incorporate historical materials, including original, age-old handmade tiles recovered from demolished farms in Araxá, Minas Gerais.
