ABOUT The Lord’s Spring
Avenida Maestro Moacir Serra,
Nº 2 -
Zip Code:

Iguape
/SP
Dating back to 1647, the complex is located within the Parque Florestal Municipal do Morro do Espia, or Morro do Espia Municipal Forest Park, and holds significant historical and religious value. Amid the lush vegetation lies a stone-and-lime grotto where, as tradition has it, the sacred image of the Good Lord Jesus of Iguape—which washed up on Praia do Una beach, in Jureia—was “cleansed.” In addition to its religious significance, the site also played a key role in supplying the town with potable water.
