The Government of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo, through the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries, has defined the inclusion of two more municipalities in the state network of location cities of the S\u00e3o Paulo State Film Commission: Franco da Rocha and Sumar\u00e9. This inclusion, made through public notice 01\/2026, expands the set of destinations prepared to host audiovisual productions in the State, and adds to the other eight cities already announced earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe S\u00e3o Paulo State Film Commission is expanding its network with the inclusion of Franco da Rocha and Sumar\u00e9, in addition to the other eight cities already announced, which directly translates into more opportunities. By attracting filming to these regions, we boost the local economy from end to end and project our interior and coast as highly competitive destinations for national and international audiovisual productions,\u201d says the Secretary of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo, Marilia Marton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project acts as a bridge between production companies, public authorities, and territories, promoting the state as a setting for films, series, documentaries, advertising, and other audiovisual content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative strengthens the audiovisual sector as a driver of regional development, stimulating job creation, income generation, and increased tourism visibility for the participating municipalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to Franco da Rocha and Sumar\u00e9, the S\u00e3o Paulo State Film Commission also included the cities of \u00c1guas de S\u00e3o Pedro, \u00c1guas de Lind\u00f3ia, Cubat\u00e3o, Ilha Comprida, Mococa, Paraibuna, Presidente Prudente, and S\u00e3o Carlos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
