These municipalities will officially join the state network of location cities, an initiative that strengthens the public policy of attracting audiovisual productions throughout the state of S\u00e3o Paulo. The cities selected in this phase are: \u00c1guas de S\u00e3o Pedro, \u00c1guas de Lind\u00f3ia, Cubat\u00e3o, Ilha Comprida, Mococa, Paraibuna, Presidente Prudente, and S\u00e3o Carlos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe S\u00e3o Paulo State Film Commission is expanding its network to eight more cities, which directly translates into more opportunities. By attracting filming to these regions, we boost the local economy from end to end and project our interior and coast as highly competitive destinations for national and international audiovisual productions,\u201d says the Secretary of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo, Marilia Marton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selection considered criteria such as cultural and historical relevance, tourism potential, regional diversity, and available infrastructure to host productions such as films, series, documentaries, advertising, and other audiovisual content. With distinct profiles, ranging from tourist resorts and coastal cities to university centers and strategic urban centers, the municipalities broaden the diversity of locations offered by the State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The S\u00e3o Paulo State Film Commission is run by the Museu da Imagem e do Som de S\u00e3o Paulo (MIS-SP) and acts as a link between production companies, public authorities and territories, promoting S\u00e3o Paulo as a competitive destination for national and international filming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selected municipalities will become part of a permanent program, committing to structuring service flows for productions, facilitating permits, supporting technical visits, and organizing information on locations and local services.
