Built in 1928, and one of the oldest hydroelectric plants in São Paulo State, the facility supplied power to Atibaia and nearby towns until it ceased operating in 1970. Today, the brick buildings stand in ruins along the banks of the Atibaia River, with well-preserved machinery and timeworn structures bearing witness to its industrial past.
