Considered one of the city’s most important 20th-century buildings, the chapel design was inspired by Tuscan churches. Built in the neo-Romanesque style and surrounded by a cobblestone courtyard, it features an exposed brick façade, an intricately carved wooden door, and original frescoes by Italo-Brazilian artist Alfredo Volpi, one of the leading figures of Brazilian modernism.
